Evan Cooper '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Evan Cooper, I am a Junior (2024), my goal is to be a student-athlete at the next level, I want to perform and play with the best of the best. I have played many team sports throughout my life and always do so with hard work and dedication to both the sport and my team. I found the sport of golf much later, the summer before my Freshman year (2021), and quickly developed a passion for the game. I practiced and play daily before school during the spring and fall, and at 5:30am during the summer, as I do not have access to an actual practice facility and must practice on the course before it opens at 7:30am.  I also began working with my swing coach between by Sophomore and Junior season.  My 18 hole average went from 104 to 80 in the 3 seasons I have played. Today I am about a six handicap, shooting pretty consistent in the high 70's.  Living in the Northeast my time on the course is limited due to weather constraints, but I believe with a solid college coach and the ability to practice on course daily I will continue to develop as a player and be a solid asset to the team.
