Throughout the course of my high school career, I have played many sports.  These sports include football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.  I have found that none of these compare to the love and ambition I have for golf. Unfortunately, I began playing golf only 10 months ago. This disparity isn‘t stopping me from pursuing my goal of playing collegiate level golf though. In the small amount of time I've been playing, I’ve made tremendous progress and realize I have natural talent for the sport.  I’ve gone from not being able to play a full round of golf, to shooting consistently in the low 80s and sometimes high 70s. My teammates, coaches, family, and opponents all comment on how far I've come in such a short amount of time.  Many of my opponents cannot believe I’ve been playing for less than a year without any formal instruction. I strongly believe I have a natural niche and talent for the sport and with the help from qualified coaches, programs, and equipment I know my ability as a golfer will climb at an even faster rate. I aspire to have the opportunity to play for a college team and not only improve personally, but help the team improve as well. I have proven to myself that my goals can be obtained. I have done so through my academic achievements and also my extracurricular activities,  such as being Senior Class President, FBLA President, National Honor Society Secretary and being involved in community based clubs, as well. I have learned many leadership skills that have helped me effectively communicate with others and develop meaningful relationships with others.  I truly believe I bring value to any team I'm a part of whether that is through talent, leadership, or my ability to form connections with my teammates.  I am passionate about golf, willing to work hard, and above all coachable. I'm excited to see what the future holds for me.  I’m hopeful that venture involves college golf.
