My name is Sean Kelly and I am a high school junior at Palmyra Area High School. I began playing golf with my dad in my freshman year of high school and started to become more serious in my sophomore year. Through the years, I have also played hockey. Although I enjoy hockey, I seem to have excelled in golf the most. I am very interested in playing golf at the next level while pursuing my college education.
I find the game of golf both mentally and physically challenging. I enjoy the game of golf on many different levels. The competition against the course, or my opponent, but also the decision making and course management needed to shave one or two more strokes off my game to help my team to a victory. I strive to always play my best game and will give all my effort in both practice and matches. Sportsmanship is also a big part of the game for me as well. I feel it is always important to put your best foot forward and lead by example.
Golf for me is a way of life! When I am not in class, I love to be on the golf course year around. To the extent possible, I would like to use my golf talents to help me further my education. My ulitmate goal is to earn a degree in Education and eventually become a coach myself. I have been blessed with several great coaches in my life and I would like to some day help others to reach their fullest potential in the sport of their choice.
