Track is something that I have been passionate about ever since I stepped foot on the track. Although I’ve only being running for two years, I’ve seen major improvements, both in my times and my overall athletic performance. It has opened up so many opportunities for me that I never thought were possible and I know that I still have a lot of chances to continue to improve my results. My peers and teachers describe me as being determined, motivated, and dependable and they know I have the power to accomplish anything I set my mind to. Aside from athletics, I am very involved within my school. My leadership qualities can be seen through all of the clubs that I participate in, and I have been recognized widely for my efforts. Along with track, I participate in varsity cheerleading and cross country. On top of my very busy schedule with sports and extra curricular activities, academics have always been very important to me. I rank in the top five percent of my class, with dreams of going on to medical school to later become a pediatric oncologist. I’m different from other athletes because I am extremely hard working. My coaches never hear me complain about workouts and I will always go above and beyond no matter the circumstances. My willingness to help my teammates and everyone around me has stood out to my coaches as well. I believe that my outgoing personality and my desire to constantly improve will make me a good candidate for any team.
