Events

  • Camp/Event
  • 2022 PIAA State Championship
  • 10/17/22 to 10/18/22
  • 4th place finish against the best in the state (Salvitti 2nd - Notre Dame commit, Gross 3rd - fourth ranked junior player in the country, one stroke ahead of me). Playing in windy cold conditions, I played well, and my ball striking was on point. It was a great experience, and a fantastic way to finish my high school career.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Qualifier - UHY Baltimore Junior
  • 8/08/22 to 8/08/22
  • I got my first AJGA win! Finished at even par on the day to take home medalist honors (73.9/139/6919). I wasn't able to compete in the tournament the next 3 days. I had an obligation to my high school team. Our first match is on Thursday, which conflicts with the last day of the AJGA tournament. That was disappointing for sure, but overall I had a great experience and was happy to get an AJGA victory under my belt.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Imperial Headwear Junior Classic
  • 8/02/22 to 8/04/22
  • Competed in the AJGA Imperial Headwear Junior Classic (73.7/6960), finished with 80-71-77, which was T35 out of 54.
  • Camp/Event
  • US Amateur Qualifier
  • 7/21/22 to 7/21/22
  • 36 hole, one day qualifier. I finished at +3 overall with a -1 second round.
  • Camp/Event
  • Notah Begay Pennsylvania Regional Qualifier
  • 7/18/22 to 7/19/22
  • This was a great golf course! I think it was rated around 74 with a 138 slope. We played it at close to 6900 yards. I finished 10th with a 78-75.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Junior at Chicopee
  • 7/05/22 to 7/08/22
  • I made the 36 hole cut on this quirky course. Finished 76-76-78 for the week.
  • Camp/Event
  • PA Junior Boys Championship
  • 6/27/22 to 6/28/22
  • I finished with a 78-72 (132/72.1/6703). I played solidly, except for a par 3, where I wound up in a very wet bunker with very little sand. I bladed the second shot and found some real trouble behind the green. Scored a 6 on that hole. I kept it together and made par on the next 4 holes, but wound up with a first round 78.
  • Camp/Event
  • BMW Philadelphia Amateur
  • 6/13/22 to 6/13/22
  • The morning after the Sunnehanna Qualifier, I traveled to Philadelphia for an early tee time at the first round of the Philadelphia Amateur. We played at Liberty Hill (73.3/137/6902). I didn't score well, I was hitting greens, but not in the correct places and it cost me. I headed to the second round with an 82 on the scoreboard. We played the next 18 in the afternoon at Philadelphia Country Club (74.7/137/6902). I'm proud of how I bounced back and I finished with an even par 71. I didn't make the top 32 and advance to match play, but I had a great experience and I'm glad I had the opportunity.
  • Camp/Event
  • 2022 US Open Local Qualifier
  • 5/12/22 to 5/12/22
  • I played in the qualifier (73.8/137/6664) and finished with a 75, which placed me T10 among amateur players at the event. It’s fun to play in such a competitive field with professional players. There were a lot of very good college players and it feels good to beat or tie players from Penn State, George Mason, SUNY Binghamton, USC Aiken, among others. It really helps reinforce the hard work is paying off.
  • Camp/Event
  • Notah Begay Junior Golf National Championship Pennsylvania/New Jersey Local Qualifier
  • 4/30/22 to 4/30/22
  • Finished tied for 1st place with a score of 74 (72.5/133 - 6605). Advanced to the Regional Championship at Jericho National Golf Club, New Hope PA, on July 18 and 19th.
  • Camp/Event
  • 2021 PIAA District 3 (AAA) Individual Tournament
  • 10/08/21 to 10/09/21
  • Finished 4th (73-77) and qualified for the State Championship Tournament. Played a solid round on the first day and hung in there on the second day, playing in windy, cooler conditions, I climbed the leaderboard to take home a medal.
  • Camp/Event
  • BJGT - Hershey Junior Golf Classic
  • 8/28/21 to 8/29/21
  • 7130 Yards
  • Camp/Event
  • PA Junior Boys Championship
  • 6/28/21 to 6/29/21
  • Started the tournament with a 73 and was tied for 10th after the first day. The second day started well, but on the 4th hole, my TaylorMade driver broke. I did have a backup, but didn't adjust well to the new feel and got myself into some trouble with the backup. In retrospect, I might have switched to hitting a long iron or 3 wood off the tee, at least until I steadied myself from the disruption. I wound up with a disappointing 82 on the second day (60th out of 156). It's worth noting, I continued to battle and finished birdie, birdie!
  • Camp/Event
  • 2020 PIAA District 3 (AAA) Individual Tournament
  • Finished 12th and qualified for the State Championship as 1st alternate. Unfortunately, Covid 19 restrictions cut the normal qualifying line from 18 to 11 players this year.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Imperial Headwear Junior Classic - Qualifier
  • Finished with a 73 and qualified into the tournament (6994 yards - 73.8/139).
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Junior at Toftrees - Qualifier
  • Finished with a 77 (6956 yards - 73.7/130). Took too much of a risk on a par 4 and wound up with a 9 on the hole. Lesson learned!
  • Camp/Event
  • 107th GAP Junior Boys Championship
  • In this highly competitive event, I started with a 75 in the stroke play qualifier to advance to match play. In the round of 16, I defeated Keller Mulhern 6 & 4 to advance to the quarterfinals. Next I played Thomas Lynch. The weather was rough (steady rain) and I dug myself a hole. I was down 4 after 4 holes, but I fought back and was able to take the match to 20 holes before my tournament ended.
  • Camp/Event
  • Pennsylvania Amateur Qualifier
  • I was in one of the last groups. Going into the 18th, I could see the cut line was going to be +2. I was sitting at +3. I gave myself a chance with a 40 foot birdie putt on the last green, but missed it long and finished at +4 with a 75 (T-21). I'm pretty dissapointed, as I really wanted to compete at the PA Amateur against that competition.
  • Camp/Event
  • PGA Junior Championship Qualifier
  • I played in the qualifier at Pine Meadows. I'm not very satisfied with how I played, but managed a +3 (75), T6 with a triple. After getting out of position off the tee on the hardest hole on the course, I didn't play my next shot wisely and it cost me. The good news is I advanced to the Philadelphia PGA Junior Championship, which gives me an opportunity to advance to the national championship.
  • Camp/Event
  • Sunnehanna Amateur Qualifier
  • Playing in the Sunnehanna Amateur Qualifier was a great experience. I finished with a 74 (131/73.7/6880). Playing against top notch competetion, on difficult courses and tying or scoring better than players from schools like Stanford, Mississippi State, Purdue, among others is driving me to work harder and smarter to improve.
  • Camp/Event
  • US Junior Qualifier
  • Missed out on advancing to my second consecutive US Junior Championship by a couple strokes. I finished T-5 with a 75.
  • Camp/Event
  • Philadelphia Boys Junior PGA Championship
  • 36 holes one day tournament at Bellwood CC, where I finished T-22 with a 78-76.
