End of 2023 Swing...Personal Statement
Hi Coach,
My name is Ryan and I am based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. My goal is to play collegiate golf at a competitive university. Not only do I want to play on the team, but I want to lead the team. I want to win individual and team championships at every level of play. Eventually, I want to play professional golf and make it my career.
During the summer, I make practice plans based on my performance in tournaments. I measure strokes gained using the Draw More Circles app and target my practice on the areas that need it the most. During the winter, I focus on swing speed and technique. Just because it is colder outside does not mean I stop practicing just as much. I realize how difficult it is to get to the level of golf I am looking to be at, but I won't stop trying my best.
Not only am I a dedicated golfer, but I am also a dedicated student. I am currently near the top of my class in every course I am taking. Last year, I averaged mid-90s and my scores are only getting better throughout the current year. I'm learning to better balance my time between golf and school. Through this, I am doing much better in class and on course.
I know I will be a great addition to your team if you give me the opportunity.
