I sincerely appreciate your time and welcome any correspondence/critique or advise you can share to better my opportunity to play major college golf for a successful program.
I am a high school junior residing in Nolensville, Tennessee interesting in pursuing my collegiate golf aspirations. Having played golf since I was six and playing competitively for the last five years I am excited to look towards my future at the next level in the game.
I currently play for Ravenwood high school in addition to competing in multiple tournaments throughout the year (USJGT, AAJGT, AJGA and the TGA tours). I’ve won several tournaments and competed among some very accomplished and competitive fields, however, I didn’t feel I was reaching my potential consistently and have been working with a private coach, Virgil Herring, since December 2013. I’ve learned some valuable swing lessons, he’s tweaked some things that are indeed making me better competitively and now, after taking a few steps back to make some necessary adjustments, I am very confident in my potential to be a contributing player at the college level.
Additionally, I am considered an athletic scholar with a current GPA of 3.6 balancing honors classes, golf and band. I start every day at 5:45am with a workout at the gym before heading to school understanding my commitment to staying in top physical shape is as important as my focus and drive to get my golf game on par with the expectations of an accomplished college coach – your expectations.
