Declan Munyon '26 Recruiting Profile

My golf journey began at the age of 9, and since then my love for the game has only grown. Although I took a 1 year break from golf between 7th and 8th grade, it didn’t take me long to rediscover my passion and commitment towards the sport. The moment I found myself immersed in the sport once again I knew it was where I belonged. 

 Through this past year at St. Stephens, one of the most academically demanding high schools in Texas, I have learned the art of time management and dedication. Introduced to the sport by my grandmothers gift of Harvey Penick’s “Little Red Book,” I’ve incorporated his fundamentals into golf and my mindset. It has taught me patience and composure which helps me stay calm in high pressure moments and in challenging situations. As I move forward, I am excited to continue my journey as a student-athlete, eager to contribute to a collegiate golf program.
