Personal Statement
My name is Will Blankenship and I am a Junior at Highland Park High School in Dallas, where I am on the Varsity golf team. Highland Park has one of the best golf programs in Texas, winning 22 state titles over the years. I have a 4.13 GPA taking a majority of AP and honors classes. Outside of golf, I am also a Captain of the HP Golf Team and First Chair Clarinet in the HP Band, where I have made the All-Area Band for the last 2 years. I am also an HP Ambassador and President of the Community Service Ensemble Club.
I love golf and work very hard at it. My recent golf accomplishments making the 5A Region II All-Region Team and qualifying individually for the 5A State Tournament. Some of my past accomplishments outside of school include shooting my lowest tournament rounds of -4 in both the TXGA Legends Junior Golf Tour Collegiate Preview (June 2022) and Texas Junior Golf Tour Texas Masters (May 2023), as well as a top 5 finish in the TXGA Legends Junior Tour Flodder Financial Shootout (June 2021). I am looking for a very strong academic school with a competitive golf program where I can make an impact. If given the opportunity, I will work harder than anyone to help the team win.
