Michael Rogers '14 Recruiting Profile

It all started when i was about 5 years old, I had a few clubs my dad would put in his bag as we would walk the golf course.It wasn't until we moved next door to a professional golfer in Weirton, Wv when I started taking golf seriously. His name was Brent Johnson and he was the head golf pro at Williams CC, we became members of his golf course as soon as we moved. I began taking lessons on a weekly bases when i was 8 years old and my passion for the game grew very strong with every lesson I took from him. When I was 10 years old I entered my first junior golf tour in Pennsylvania. I loved every minute of tournament golf as I still do now, I love practicing and working on all aspects of the game. When I was in the 8th grade I decided to go to Weirton Madonna High School to play for their highschool team, and as a freshman I helped my team win the schools first state golf title. I love the game and I'm very passionate about getting better and improving my ability to play more than anything else. After winning the individual medalist in the Wv state golf tournament, I want to play golf at the highest competitive level possible in college and after college. I love the game and will work harder every year to succeed in my career path.
