Ever since I can remember, I have always had a golf club in my hand. My dad is my mentor and has had a big influence on my golf career. We share a deep love for the game. My interest has grown from playing for fun, to entering local junior tournaments and ultimately leaving baseball as my lead sport to focus on competitive golf. I love golf because I get to challenge myself as an individual while still working toward and contributing to team successes. And those teammates are my brothers.
When I am not at school, work, volunteering with my church/community, at the range or on the course, I am watching videos and continually working on improving my skills. I have a driven personality that strives to succeed at all I do, overcoming any and all obstacles. COVID affected us all — we lost our freshman golf season, I struggled adjusting to the changing virtual curriculum and even mentally, had to work even harder than I ever worked. It was tough. But something my parents have always told me helped get me through the COVID struggles and most things in my life — that which does not kill you only makes you stronger.
I am a dedicated student and athlete, who drives to succeed at all I do. I work to make my teammates better so we can all succeed together. And, I am coachable and respectful. That is why I would be a great addition to your team. Thank you.
