I was never much into golf, I was always a baseball player until about 3 years ago when I went golfing with my friend. Since than I have been hooked on the great game of golf, I spent most of my savings buying decent clubs, and got to work. I decided I would rather pursue golf, than baseball so I devoted most of my free time to improving all aspects of my game. It wasn’t until late 2021 when I realized I might have what it takes to play college golf, so I started trying in school, rather than messing around and received high honors for the first time. Golf has changed my life completely, I used to be the class Clown and barley pass my classes, now I am on the honor roll, I have become more mature both in and out of the classroom, and the most important thing of all, I have become a great guy to be around. On my free time I am usually working on my golf game on a simulator, or I am on the course depending on the weather. I didn’t come from a wealthy family, in fact I was raised in poverty. I have supported myself financially throughout high school, I have afforded a vehicle, cell phone, golf equipment, etc. People often take those things for granted, but I don’t. I have acknowledged my hard work, and am very proud of myself to be where I am today. Going through all of that, I have built a very strong character, and tough mental game which I believe is the most important part of some ones golf game.
