Softball isn’t just a game of how good you can throw and hit a ball to me. It has taught me so much about not only myself but the values that I need to have as an adult. It’s taught me to be resilient, hardworking, and how to build relationships that can last a lifetime. My name is Ayanna O’Kimosh and I’m a 5’4 catcher/ middle infielder. I’m currently a sophomore in high school and will graduate with the class of 2026. I’ve been playing the game of softball for almost 9 years and still continue to work and get better at my craft each day. I started club softball just last year and I’m starting my second year at Impact Sports Academy in De Pere, WI. Joining this team has pushed me more than I have before to be a better player and teammate and has also taught me what I need to work on to compete at higher levels of softball. Whether that is practicing with my team, off season training, or working on my own. Not only have I worked to be successful athletically, I also strive to be good academically. I’ve maintained a gpa of 3.9 and higher throughout my two years of High school and I continue to maintain the values that school always comes before sports. Although I’m not sure what I want to study in college, I’m interested in sports medicine and working with other athletes like myself.
