Born and raised in Alaska, I, like so many others, started skating at the early age of 3. Dropped on the ice by my parents, their goals included burning energy and making friends. It wasn’t until reaching the Squirt level that I discovered Patric Kane and a passion for hockey all my own. With this passion I began developing goals for hockey. I have had a competitive spirit as long as I can remember. I have been driven both on and off the ice to get better. Over the last few years I have found teammates that share my passion, which has taken my love for the game to the next level.
My primary and favorite position is LW but in the past have also played C and RW. I was the team leader in points for the 2022-23 Tier 1 Team Alaska 14U this year, as well as team leader in points the last 2 comp seasons. My team competed in the Pacific Districts Tournament at the end of February. We were 4-0, advanced to play in the Championship Game and received 2nd against LA JrKings. I was the leader in points for my team during this tournament. I played High School Varsity Hockey this year as a starter. Also was the only Freshman from the State of Alaska who received the D1 Region IV Hockey All Conference MVP Award. I am a hard worker, determined to excel in hockey and academics. Currently have a 3.8 GPA. Would like to have the opportunity to play hockey with more kids like myself, and better so I can become the best I was made to be.
Academically, I will go to college and obtain a degree. At 14 I can only speak to the subjects I am interested in, but I am still exploring what degree to pursue. I am interested in sciences and social studies. Through hockey I have learned a few things about myself. I am stronger than I once understood. As an individual I enjoy putting the time in both on and off the ice, but it takes a good team and coaches to be successful. I am blessed with both parents that are dedicated to my success and a community that embraces hockey. There are few obstacles to mention that most players don’t have to tend with. If I had to come up with an obstacle it might be that in my birth year there are few players with the passion for the game that I and my friends have. For this reason I “played up” for the first 7 years of hockey. However, this allowed me to compete within my ability level and also me to get to know older players that are my friends to this day.
