Patrick Rodgers '11 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing hockey for 10 years now. I am 5'11", 190lbs and at the beginning of the season, my coach tested us and I was clocked at about 22 mph. Two of my biggest achievements in hockey were my two trips to the national championships. In 2006, we made it at the tier II level and in 2008 we made it at the tier I level. Last year, I finished second on my team in points with 43 and finished 7th in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League in assists with 31. It has been my dream to play college hockey for many years now and I feel that I would be able to provide a team with leadership and I always work hard. This year, my team voted me to be assistant captain even though I am the fifth youngest player on the team. I also work as hard as I can in every practice and game in order to give my team the best opportunity to win. I am interested in any school up north in the northeastern or mid west regions of the country, but I am willing to look at any school that shows interest in me. I prefer a school with good academics as I currently attend the 11th best public school in the nation and I am able to maintain straight A's. My desired major in college is business management. My athletic goals for college are to play at the highest level possible for me and help any team that I am on win games and win championships. I am a dedicated student athlete and am very motivated to succeed.
