William Steinwachs '25 Recruiting Profile

Since joining Sarasota Crew in 6th grade, I have developed into an experienced and versatile rower. I am equally comfortable rowing both port and starboard and often row a different side each day. Sculling is an important part of training and racing at Sarasota Crew, so I’m also proficient in singles, doubles, and quads. I even enjoy the challenge of bowing a quad.

I’m a dedicated student athlete who is used to 20+ hours a week of practice year round. I’ve also learned much about rigging and boat maintenance. My goal is to continue in my development in college and be a part of a competitive rowing team.

I attend Pine View School in Osprey, FL, a gifted magnet school and one of the top public schools in the country. I take all AP and honors classes and especially enjoy the sciences.
