Charlie Hoffman '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Charlie Hoffman and I will graduate from St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL (a suburb of Chicago) this May 2024. I am a Center on the St. Viator Boy's Hockey Team and have played varsity since my freshman year. I am interested in attending a four year college with strong academics and an excellent hockey program and culture.

I was the leading goal scorer for our team this past season. St. Viator plays in the Scholastic Hockey League (SHL), which is the best boys high school hockey league in Illinois.  We compete against the top high school programs in the state (and country) and were the proud State Runner-Up in 2022. 

On the ice, my strengths are my size, speed and versatility. I am 6'2'' and 210 lbs. I am not afraid of contact and love to back check. My slap shot and wrist shot are powerful. I have experience playing wing and D, so I will play wherever the team needs me. I am a strong student academically, with honors and AP classes, and I received a 30 on my ACT. 

This summer, I participated in the Ivy Shootout Showcase in Princeton, NJ and proved I could play with the best AAA and juniors players in the country.
