Jonathon Shoemaker '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonathon Shoemaker and I am 16 year old junior at Glenbard East High School. I have a 4.6 GPA and I am committed to raise it up by the end of this school year. I pay attention in class and I don't fool around when I am supposed to be doing class work. I've made honor roll all three trimesters last year at my old private school and always did good at that school. I have a good personality which includes: being respectful of adults and of my friends, being as kind as I can, listening well, and caring for others. Whenever I play any sports, I always have a good attitude and try to cheer up my teammates when they aren't doing good. Also, I am very competitive, no matter what it is that I am competing in, I always try my hardest to succeed.

I started playing sports when I was 5 years old. I played baseball for 9 years, football for 5 years, basketball for 4 years, volleyball for 1 year, soccer for 1 year, and hockey for almost 5 years. Out of all these years playing sports I've won 3 baseball championships, 1 football championship, and 2 hockey championships. In baseball, I was a very good catcher, in football, I was a very good center, and in hockey, I am a very good defenseman. Hockey is the one sport that I love more than any other sport. It's what I love to do and wish I could do everyday for the rest of my life. My goal is to play college hockey at a D1 level. If I work hard enough, I believe that I can achieve this goal and any other goals I set for myself.
