Hi my name is Anthony Crescenzo but I go by my middle name Rocco. I love the sport of hockey as it is my passion. I am 16 years old. l am currently in my Junior High School Year. I have been playing hockey since 2013 and it all has mostly been with Top Gun in Salem, NH thru 1/2 season of Sophomore year. It is in the EHF league where we play in NH, MA, RI, and CT.
My Junior year of high school was a huge change. I attended Atlantic Coast Academy for the 2023-2024 season, U16 AAA THF league. I lived in Pittsfield MA and our home ice was in North Adams. It was strange not living at home and hard at first, but I got used to it and having roommates was fun as I am an only child at home. I traveled all thru New York, loved going back to Lake Placid. Also traveled to Detroit, Philly, CT, and MA. I scored 6 goals and 30 assists for the season. I am now back home finishing up my VLACS for schooling. I have all A's and 1 B in Chemistry. I left ACA with lots of new friends from my team. Most of all thru the season I got faster, stronger, and more confident in my playing. I am going to continue to play for Atlantic Coast Hockey Club for the Spring/Summer tournament season and I am really excited for the World Select in Philly. I will be playing a spring 3 vs 3 at the Icecenter in Salem. I also will be playing a spring league at the Valley Forum in Haverhill. I am trying to keep my legs moving thru August before starting my Senior year.
I have started back at Ralphies bussing tables and running food. I will also be doing landscaping during the day for AC landscaping. For fun I will be hanging with my friends and my family is taking a cruise in July. I have never been on a cruise!
I am still deciding where I might be going for my Senior year and where I will be playing hockey for 2024-2025, being at ACA gave me lots of playing time and I had some scouts approach me so I am working with my parents to make the best decision. My parents are really supportive of my dream and I am so happy they are giving me guidance as I make a decision. I hope to have a good season in my Senior year wherever I go and hope it gets me to Juniors Tier 1 or 2 as my end goal is to play college hockey.
I tried out for the 2021/ 2022 Salem Varsity Blue Devil at my High School and was invited to the team! I enjoyed my 1st year playing high school, it was an eye opening experience for sure. I am very happy to say that I was the only freshman on the starting line. The Salem Blue Devils season has ended with a 9-9-0 record. My season stats ended with 20 games played, 3 assists, 10 penalty minutes, my ratings is a +11. I am now in my Sophomore year and again on the starting line as a Blue Devil. Our 2022/23 season started off strong but due to injuries on the team we did not place as well as my freshman year. My season stats ended with 21 games played, 3 goals, 6 assist, 10 penalty minutes, my rating is a +6 the second highest just under a +8. I am certainly looking forward to my 2023/24 season as Salem Devil.
I have been told that I am very coach- able and I consider that a great strength. I attribute that to my karate training I started when I was 4 and continued to the age of 11 when I received my black belt. I am a strong skater, quick thinker and know how to make and set up plays. I feel I am a good teammate, add value to my teams and lead by example. I look forward to the next 4 years and seeing where it leads me. I hope to continue after my graduation in 2025 to attend college and play hockey at the college level.
