Personal Statement
My name is Carson, and I am heading into my senior year at South Kent School. I am from the St. Louis area and I am truly dedicated to this sport with year round development and training both on and off the ice.
My goal is to earn an outstanding education and continue playing the game I love at a highly competitive level. I want others to remember me as a premiere example of a student athlete, teammate, and young adult.
Even though I pride myself on being an elite goal scorer, I prioritize being a good leader for my team, and have worn an A on my jersey my 15O and 16u seasons. Utilizing my hockey IQ and relentless work ethic, I focus on playing the game the right way with grit, competitiveness, and passion in all three zones. That effort is evident in increased production as well as multiple invitations to select camps, combines, and tournament teams.
As a freshman at DeSmet Jesuit High School, I earned a 4.29 GPA first quarter which includes two honors classes as Chinese as my foreign language selection. Since then I have maintained straight A’s at South Kent through my Sophomore and Junior years.I was the only freshmen to make true varsity for the DeSmet Jesuit Hockey Club Hockey Team. At South Kent I have been a top line player both years, scoring the most goals for my team.
I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between a strong academic program while playing at the highest possible level on the ice. During my senior year, I look to find a passion for either engineering or finance options to major in college.
I look forward to building a connection with you and seeing how I may possibly be a potential student-athlete recruit for your program.
