Jonny Scheer '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonny Scheer, I am currently playing for the Tampa Bay Juniors. I am a center but can play any position if needed. I have been playing hockey since was 3 and I would like to continue playing after my high school career is over. I’ve learned that people look up to me not just as a player but as a person. I am a funny guy, but when it is crunch time I’ll do anything that it takes to win the game. This year my team made it to the national finals.    As a student athlete that game showed me that nothing is impossible, but there is always room for improvement. Many of my coaches and teammates have said that a have a good hockey IQ and I know where to be with and without the puck. 

When I am not playing for my teams I am volunteering in clinics for younger players. Off the ice, I am a extreme Disney person. Whether it is going to see the movies, or going to Florida to go to the parks, I am all in with it. My family and I go every year and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Some people call us crazy but we call ourselves Disney fanatics.
