Hockey has always been a part of my life and has shaped my life from who my friends are to how I have learned to be comfortable and confident as a person. It has given me the confidence and motivation to work hard, accept coaching and criticism, and be even better with every season that I play.
It is my dream to go to a University that will challenge me academically, but will also fulfill my dreams of playing NCAA college hockey. I’m a tireless worker and a goal driven individual; this year my goals are to get bigger, faster, and stronger playing my second year of Junior Hockey. while taking one college class a semester and working part-time.
My fuel for knowledge distinguishes me in the classroom. My coachability, compete level and willingness to win set me apart from my peers on the ice. The combination of both makes me realize my strengths but my weakness’s as well.
I play the game because I love the game. The passion fuels my drive to compete, I respect the game and my opponent. I look forward to following my dreams of playing NCAA Hockey.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Purdy
