My main goal is to play division 1 college hockey and maybe even go to the NHL after that. On the ice I play a very positional style meaning I use all 6 feet and 4 inches of my body to take up as much net as possible on the initial shot. I am always working on and off the ice to make myself quicker and smoother in my movements. I believe that I have good leadership skills on the ice. On the ice I do things such as inform my teammates where players on the other team are if they can't see them. I am also good at gaining my teams trust which results in better plays being made during a game. Although I only play 1 sport, I am training year round to ensure that I am at the top of my game at any point. During a practice, if a coach tells me to change something, I can usually input that change into my game with very few repetitions. On my teams, I am typically the one working the hardest and having the most fun while doing so. I also go to open hockey sessions as ofter as possible to work on new techniques that my coaches have taught me. These sessions give me a chance to focus on specific aspects of my game while also having fun. Off the ice I take a lot of pride in my grades and work. I frequently study after school for upcoming tests and spend a lot of time working to keep my grades up. I also volunteer for my goalie coach to coach young goalies. Volunteering has helped me respect my coaches more for the efforts that they put in to make me a better hockey player.
