My goal since I was a little kid was to play Division I hockey. I've grown up 20 minutes away from Clarkson University and my father has brought me to many games since I was little. I love the competitiveness that division I hockey brings. I have been in the weight room at least 4-5 times a week for the past 2 years. I push myself to try and make myself better than the players around me. I have also convinced many of my fellow teammates to get in the gym with me. Before my previous season with my High School team started, I tried to get as many of my teammates as possible to come to the gym with me. I knew we had the potential to do great things and with the extra off-ice effort, it would put us that many steps ahead of our opponents. I was named captain of my High School team the Massena Red Raiders. That was a great honor for me and I took the captain position very seriously. I made sure to push everyone on the ice and made sure everyone was emotionally in check. As my coach said "Don't be that five cent cotter pin that faults a million dollar machine."
