Personal Statement
Since I was 9 years old, it's been my dream to play college hockey. I've been working toward this dream ever since. I started playing hockey when I was 9 and played on a "C" level team. I never wanted to play at this level ever again. I worked hard and made a "AA" team the next year. I continued working hard and made a tier I "AAA", top 20 nationally ranked team the following year. I've been playing at this level ever since. As a Freshman, I racked up more minutes of play than any other defenseman on my Varsity team. With all of my accomplishments playing hockey, I've managed to keep a 90+ average taking two accelerated courses (math and science). I also play baseball during the offseason for school and travel. I think I'm a good candidate for your team because I am always the hardest worker on the ice, I am extremely coachable and I have a team-first mentality. I believe that academics are just as important, if not more so, than hockey, so I have high expectations of myself in that arena as well. I appreciate your time and your consideration.
