Since I started playing Hockey, I immediately fell in love with the sport. My teammates, the coaches, the great times and the bad ones have been memories that will last a life time. On the ice, I always try to be the hardest working player in an effort to better myself and lead by example. Unselfish play has always been important to me. This has translated in my hockey career by my coaches asking me to play different positions where I am needed to help my team. If the team does not have success, the player cannot have success. This is how I try to keep a 100% positive attitude towards any situation.
My school work is just as important to me. I enjoy the more challenging classes, especially my advanced placement classes. Currently I am enjoying my science and history classes, but I also excel in math. I consistently carry a 94-96 GPA. and make my school's honor roll every marking quarter. My ultimate goal is to achieve a 4 year degree in Business/ Finance and to play hockey for my school while doing it.
I have been extremely fortunate in the things I have accomplished in my life so far. I do believe it is equally important to give back to others when it is possible. Recently I was awarded the Karp Family Scholarship in Pursuit of Excellence through our local Peconic Hockey Foundation. In which, I donated my monetary award to the Colin's Joy Project. Colin's Joy builds parks, playgrounds, and play spaces for inner city children. This Christmas my hockey team had a holiday fundraiser to sell wreaths for a local Hospice. What a vitally important form of care for many people. I sold more wreaths than anyone in our organization after I learned exactly what Hospice does for the sick.
This summer I will be attending Steve Jensen's Heartland Hockey Camp in Deerwood, Minnesota for the second summer and Aleksey Nikiforov's Summer Skills Hockey Camp for the third summer.
Hockey has taken me so many places already. My ultimate goal is to play college hockey and get my 4 year degree. Currently I am looking to play on upper level Tournament and Showcase teams to get more experience.
If you need a big 2 way player who believes in Teamwork/ Success, and the highest grades possible please contact me.
