I love playing hockey but my journey has had its ups and downs whether that be winning tournaments and scoring goals to people around me telling me that I could make it where I am today. Now this hurt but it built character and a deep drive to do better and be as good as I can, I use this in everyday life and it shapes the person I am today. Which is someone who gives everyone a chance and helps or encourages them to do better when I know they can. As a result of all of these events, I strive to be not only the best hockey player I can be but also the person I can be. I have spent a lot of time working on myself as a person over the last few years and I feel I have grown and learned so much about myself and others. One thing that’s a fact is, that hockey is a huge part of my life, but outside I like to learn about real estate, overall business, and how to use your hands. For example, I’ve learned trade skills like carpentry and masonry. Whenever I can I go out of my way to try to learn more about it and if it's a skill then I try very hard to get better at that skill. One reason why I think I’ve found so much success recently is because I feel I have developed a very strong work ethic. One example of this is, before I started taking hockey seriously I became very good at karate. I went 6 days a week for a few years and I got my black belt at a young age. My parents have helped me discover over the years that the only way you can accomplish your goals is by going all in on the thing you want to do and your hard work will pay off in some way (for example the black belt). My work ethic and my drive to always get better are why I think I could be a great fit for your program.
