Stepping on the ice for the first time at age 3 was amazing and memorable. It was learn to skate and my mom was out there with me. I fell a lot, but got back up and tried again. I quickly learn to skate and loved it. Gliding on the ice, I just wanted a hockey stick in my hand. After a couple months of stations and continuing to learn how to pass and shoot, we got to play small games and learned teamwork. It was a lot of fun. Winning some and losing some but laughing with my friends all weekend long was my favorite.
Fast forward 10 years and I still love being on the ice learning and growing and being with my teammates, becoming the best version of me each time.
I’ve played many other sports throughout my life, but at the end of the day, hockey is the sport I love most. It’s always been my dream to play at the collegiate level. Hockey is my passion and I want to pursue my dreams with a school that has a high rated team and good academics. I know that sports and academics open an endless array of doors for the future.
At the age 7, I was lucky enough to have a coach that believed in me and selected me for an All-Star team. We played in a couple tournaments at the end of the season. That was the start of me playing travel hockey and becoming the player I am today. If I can be so lucky to have another coach choose me, they will not just be getting a hockey player. I am a good student and community member. I work hard in school and sports. I am a team leader and lead by example in my life. I am coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the ice and in the classroom at all times. In the classroom, I study and do my work to the best of my ability. I maintain good grades. I also volunteer in my community by doing community cleanups and helping youth sports.
All these experience have given me confidence and motivation to continue playing hockey in college. I am looking to find the right college fit at the highest competitive level.
