Hello, my name is Dylan Searles, I am a 2006 born center from London, Ontario. I am currently playing for the U18 Elgin Middlesex Canucks of the Alliance AAA, as well as being an affiliate player for the Strathroy Rockets of the GOJHL. As a player I would describe myself as a reliable, hard working, playmaking center. I pride myself on the ability to win faceoffs and create plays. I love looking to set up the open guy but I am not afraid to show my ability to score as well. I proved this last season by leading my U18 AAA team in scoring and being selected to the Alliance All Star Team. I’m also not shy about doing the dirty work and love being a hard player to play against. The journey to this point hasn’t been an easy one and I’ve had to fight through a lot of adversity to get here, in my major atom year I was cut down to my local MD team. After a great season there I made the jump up to AA where I spent 5 years. Being a little bit of a late bloomer I finally made the jump to U18 AAA. After a good year there I’m returning for my last year of U18. My goal to continue my hockey journey is to go to the USA, play junior hockey, and then receive a scholarship and play NCAA D1 hockey. My plan is to study sports medicine to eventually become a team doctor for a professional sports team. I believe that I am on a good path to achieve this goal as school is a priority. My nights are spent furthering my understanding and this is shown by my high school average being 94%. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar and volunteering with youth hockey development.
