I feel what sets me apart from other recruits is my work ethic.  I have been playing competitive hockey since the age of 5.  I have always skated with players older than myself.  I believe this has helped me gain the confidence I need to play at the next level.  I always strive to be the fastest and best player on the ice.   In addition to this, I try too always be supportive of my teammates.  I have high expectations for myself on and off the ice.   I set goals for myself at the start of the season.  I do whatever it takes to not only reach these goals, but to surpass them.  I also listen to my coaches, and teachers, and accept their criticisms, and try to learn as much as I can from them.  

I value the importance of a college education very much.   I am always striving to be a better hockey player and learn as much as I can about the sport, however, I want to broaden my academic studies as well, and get as much out of my college studies as possible.
