My name is Chance Cole, I am from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, Canada, and I am in grade 11 at Briercrest Christian Academy (2022/2023). I am the youngest sibling in my family, with an older brother taking engineering at the University of Waterloo, and an older sister taking Nursing through the University of Regina.
I am very focused on my academics and I work very hard in the classroom with my strengths in mathematics and science. My GPA was 95% in grade 10; currently in grade 11, I am still striving to maintain that same average. I am a motivated student because I know what it takes to attend a competitive college. At the moment I am still not 100% sure on what I would like to do after high school, but I am interested in business and engineering. Hobbies I enjoy outside of hockey and school are snowboarding, wake-surfing, working out, golfing, being with friends and family.
I live for hockey, I have been playing it since the age of 3. Ever since then I have pretty much lived with a stick in my hand. I started playing because I was always at my brother's games watching him skate up and down the ice. Ever since I started playing, hockey has given me the opportunity to travel all over western Canada, making new friends with not only teammates but opponents as well.
I am a dedicated hard-working player who strives to be a positive team leader and to perform at the best of my ability while always aspiring to improve myself and the game. I am 5’8” and 130 lbs. I am an undersized defenseman but it does not affect my game in any area because I am strong on my feet and a good skater. I love the speed and quickness of the game because I play fast and smart. Being a fast and smart defensemen makes up for lacking size because I can not only skate around a defender but also make a smart quick pass by him. I am a two-way defensemen who plays well in all areas of the ice but I really strive on rushes and in the offensive zone. I am a coachable player always wanting to do what is best for the team.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Chance Cole
