Owen Hervey '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Owen Hervey and I have played hockey since I was four years old.  I would like to play the next level of hockey, whether in college or juniors. I currently play for a 2009 AA team called the Music City Marauders in Nashville, TN. I moved to Nashville from Moscow, ID in the summer of 2022. 

I would be a good fit for any team because I am a hard worker, on and off the ice. I work hard to get good grades and I put my Christian faith forward in everything I do. I try separate myself from other players by my work ethic, my good attitude, and being a reliable teammate and leader.  I love to score goals and set up my teammates, but I’m also focusing on forechecking and backchecking hard and being responsible in the defensive zone. 

I’ve attended Classical Christian schools since preschool and it has taught me how to think critically and express myself clearly. I have always enjoyed school and love learning new things.  I’m not sure exactly what I want to study in college right now because I’m interested in lots of different subjects, but I’m looking forward to finding my biggest passion in the classroom and on the ice.
