Personal Statement

~~I have played hockey since I was three years old which means that I have played hockey for 12 years now and I have tons of experience.  I am the type of hockey player that does not crack under the pressure, but instead I rise to the occasion and make something of it.  Two perfect examples of that would be when my team was competing for the league championship and it was tied 2-2 and I scored two goals back to back. One goal was off a rebound and the second goal was a breakaway goal where I shot it bar down and in.   My team ended up winning the game 5-3.  The second time was when my team was at Nationals playing against the soon to be national champions(which was unknown at the time) but our team was losing in the second period and I picked it up by scoring two goals.  The first was a one timer goal and the second one was a breakaway goal that I shot five hole and in.  I also almost had a third goal in that period with less than three seconds to spare but a player on other team barely blocked the shot with his stick keeping the score at 6-5 in their favor at the end of the second.  I also have a hard shot, shooting around 70-80 mile per hour slap shots and I am also fast even though I am a large person for my age.  I rarely lose races to the puck which is why I have many breakaway/breakaway goals and also the reason why I have a lot of rebound goals.  With my speed I am able to blow past the defense and create great scoring opportunities for my team.  I also am a disciplined person even though I am large and I can prove this by telling you that last year I had no penalty minutes despite my team had the most penalty minutes in the league.  Academically I was state recognized in seventh grade for having a high science score on my ACT when participating in the Duke Talent TIP search.  I also hope to become engineering and hope to major in either mechanical or electrical engineering.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
