Hi, my name is Nathan Diaz, I started lacrosse during seventh grade, and ever since then, I've loved the sport. Growing up I always enjoyed athletic games and activities which led me to start soccer. I played it throughout all of elementary and middle school. Though I did love the sport I felt that it lacked a crucial element of aggression and contact. Then through a family friend, I heard about Lacrosse for the first time and I tried out a short camp that summer, and I was hooked! In my lacrosse career, I started off as a Middie in seventh grade and eventually switched to a defender at the beginning of my ninth-grade spring season. I played for the Montverde Academy Eagle's varsity team as the only freshman defender. My experience playing in high school has allowed me to learn a tremendous amount in such a short period from my coaches and older teammates, even after suffering two mild concussions in the same season! What sets me apart from other athletes is the grit I put into every practice, if I don't put in 100% effort when it really matters how am I supposed to in the middle of a game? This determination and drive to give it my all grant me the ability to be one of the most aggressive players on the field and I believe this will continue to be proven right in high school and eventually in college.
