Ethan Billian '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ethan Billian and I go to Pikesville High School in Baltimore, Maryland, which has a very small lacrosse program. If you are looking for a team player, leader and hard working student athlete, I'm your player. I currently am passing in all of my Gifted and Talented, Honors, and Advanced Placement classes. I currently play for HLC which is a AA level team. I have been playing at the club level for almost 6 years out of my 10 year lacrosse experience.

On the field, I am a shifty attack player with strong lacrosse IQ and play offensive midfield on the occasion. I started at attack and was the leading goal scorer and points leader for my schools varsity team.

I have been informed by my coaches that I am very good at taking in feedback and using it the very next play.  My peers also tell me that I have a great next-play mentality and work to make myself better while helping others get better too. I am trusted by coaches and teammates to run the offense and call out the plays and sets to run on my high school varsity team and my club team as well.

I like to think my mindset sets me apart from other recruits in my class because I use my mistakes to learn and do better the next time. This skill is useful in the classroom and on the field since you learn to progress when most people would move on and not use it to build your academic or athletic IQ. My work ethic also sets me apart from other players. I like to model off my father and he always keeps his goals in front of him and he realizes no matter what happens, the end goal is in reach. I used this and transferred it to the lacrosse field. Whenever my team might be down in a game, the goal is to win. I try to focus on that and work to contribute and come together as a team and win.
