Gavin Sutherland '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2027 goalie who started playing lacrosse in 1st grade, making the move to goalie in 2nd grade. Since then I have grown to love playing goalie and lacrosse. Lacrosse has offered me so many opportunities including new meeting friends and teammates to interacting with amazing coaches. These experiences have helped me grow as a person and player. I have been told by my coaches that my lacrosse IQ is high. I started watching film with Dave Page, a University of Pennsylvania goalie coach, via zoom during Covid. I have also been complimented on my composure while in goal. I continue to develop my skills not only through goalie specific training but also developing my athleticism in the gym. My next goal is to continue working hard with my academics and become the starting goalie for my high school team as a freshman. My ultimate goal is to attend a university where I can excel in my studies and play lacrosse as well.
