I am the middle of three brothers in a military family. My dad retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years last year. We moved pretty much every three years. My brothers and I have always played sports. You could say that my family and sports have been the constants in my life! In middle school I was still playing football, basketball, and lacrosse. Then, my freshman year, I even played ice hockey. But when I started my freshman season on Varsity at St. Mary's Ryken in the WCAC I realized lacrosse was the only sport I loved enough to dedicate myself to. So, from that time, I set out to play lacrosse at a high level in college. I knew academically I wanted to go to college, so I needed to prepare mentally and physically for a higher level of play.
Although moving frequently and playing lacrosse in different states hasn't allowed me to establish myself in one club or one school system like other recruits, it has taught me how to be coachable no matter the coach, flexible, and patient. Although being raised in a military family is not always easy, my parents have led by example, showing me that service, character, and hard work are non-negotiable. Thank you for your consideration.
