Personal Statement

My goal is to continue to play lacrosse in college but be very successful in the classroom as well. I want to play lacrosse in college because I really enjoy the game; I love sports but playing lacrosse makes me happy. The game of lacrosse is very competitive and I enjoy this aspect of the game. I also love the fact that this sport is growing and I want to impact this sport further by possibly coaching and taking my love of the game and sharing it with younger players. I have begun doing this by helping out my coaches. I am teaching U12 and U14 lacrosse by helping the goalies prepare and train for their games, and in conjunction helping them to be successful leaders on and off the field. I want to give back to the community of lacrosse and help it flourish in the future.

I am a team player because I have good leadership qualities,  and like to take control of my defense. I work towards communicating often to the defense and developing relationships with my teammates that allows us to play as a unit, not as individuals. Being a teammate means being able to cooperate, get along, and support them on and off the field.

I have an upbeat personality,  and always like to make people laugh. I am a go getter and I want to be able to go to a school that is just right for me academically as well as athletically. I currently attend Brownell Talbot, a college-preparatory school located in Omaha,  which is one of the best schools in Nebraska. It's academic standards and rigor are extremely high, which means I am driven to work hard and I know what it takes to become successful. My family has always had high expectations when it comes to academics, they push me to be the best I can be. Average is never good enough,  and I am encouraged by this statement. I am looking forward to this journey and can't wait to see what my future holds. Whether it is Division I, II, or III; I will be ready to fully commit to a team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
