If there is one thing I've learned from being a student athlete, it's how to overcome adversity. In 7th grade I unfortunately tore my ACL while playing football where I was then given a choice . I could have either chose to give up al sports , or go through the long recovery process for the possibility of going back to normal. My choice came easy, I would do anything to get back on the field. Through perseverance I eventually recovered, and began to learn the balance it takes to be a student athlete. Throughout recovery I managed to work on my grades due to how much I struggled in school. I got my grades of where I know they could be and started to make sports and academics an equal priority.
