Hello Coaches,
My name is Jonas Rothermel and I live in the Oley Valley School District in Berks County PA. I play lacrosse on my high school lacrosse team which partners with Muhlenberg School District, also located in Berks County PA. I am a Junior in high school (class of 2025) and was a Midfield starter on the Varsity team this past spring season. My goal is to attend a college that meets my educational and lacrosse aspirations. I have a great work ethic and am a very coachable athlete. I feel that one of my biggest strengths, on the field, is my ability to help transition the ball from defense to offense. I started the lacrosse journey in 7th grade and have proven that with hard work and dedication, I have been able to play at a competitive level. I know with my hard work, coachable attitude, and dedication I am going to continue to grow as a strong lacrosse player. I play for the travel lacrosse club, Black Bear, where we won the Niagara Lacrosse Classic Championship in the 2025s division last summer (Summer 2022) and currently are doing very well in our fall season with a current record of 5-1. For Black Bear, I have played LSM, and now play midfield. I am happy to play any position as long as I am helping the team as best I can. I have very strong grades in school (3.89 cumulative GPA) and I am a member of the TSA club and was just nominated and named as the TSA club Secretary. I have competed in the First Lego League Robotics competition for our school as a captain of the team. I have competed in the Regional Conference for TSA (Technology Student Association) and placed 4th in my category of CAD 3D Engineering and qualified for the State competition in April where I placed 5th in the state for Systems Control. I earned the PAWS award at my high school for STEM/Tech ED ( two years in a row) and at our awards ceremony in the Spring of 2022 I received an Academic Scholar Award as well as a Varsity Letter for my lacrosse season at Muhlenberg this year. This past Spring I also earned the "Unsung Hero" award for my graduating class as well. I hope to attend college in the area of Engineering and play lacrosse as well. Thank you for your consideration of me as part of your school and team.
Sincerely,
Jonas
