Hello
My name‘s Jacob Gray, and I’m a 3 sport athlete out of Fairfax Vt. I play football and basketbal, but most importantly lacrosse, where I started at attack my freshman year. I started playing in 3rd grade because my friends played and I wanted to hit people, but then coach put me out at attack so that didn’t happen. Though as I played I grew to love the sport. When I started out all my friends were better than me, so every pass I caught, every assist, every goal I scored was a step in the right direction, in my eyes almost proving them that I was good enough, and that’s stuck with me ever since. I still play with almost all of those friends in high school, and we‘re a great team together, but for me at least the competitiveness is still there. When I’m playing every catch is a mini success, where I can make a play on the field, where I have a chance to prove to myself and everyone else that I belong on that field. As for my play style, I’ve been told I play like Matt Rambo. I used to play at X a lot and I still like to play a physical game, especially on groundballs and things like that. In club lacrosse I played midfield for 802 Lax, and I’d say I’m still trying to find the style that fits me the best, but overall I’ll play wherever and however coach needs me to. I also tend to set my teammates up more than I try and score myself, but I’m not afraid to take it to the hole if needed.
