Huck Jagerson '25 Recruiting Profile

I row for NorCal Crew in Redwood City, California. I train 6 days per week and row port and starboard. This summer I rowed at US Selection Development camp where I had several opportunities to learn how to scull, and I look forward to pursuing that further this fall. 

I have been an athlete all of my life, but when I found rowing in the middle of my freshman year, I knew that I had found the sport that is my perfect fit.  It comes naturally to me, and I am addicted to the challenge of it. That Spring we won the U16 8+ National Championships in Sarasota, and I was completely hooked. My coaches say that my biggest strengths are my commitment and team spirit.

I have always loved school, every subject, and being a student athlete allows me to be my complete self. I love math, and often think of myself as a math and science person, but I also love history and reading, and find the liberal arts to be an essential part of my life as well.

Most of all, I love being better than the person I was yesterday.  I enjoy competing with others, but competing with myself is the most fun.
