Rowing is more than just a sport to me—it’s a passion that has shaped me as both an athlete and a leader. I started as a rower my freshman year of high school, but after a season on the water, my coaches and I realized that my skills and mindset were a better fit for coxing. What truly makes this sport special to me is my teammates—they are like family. The bond we share and the incredible team environment we’ve built push me to be the best coxswain I can be. I thrive in high pressure situations, where my attention to detail, strategic thinking, and ability to make split second decisions directly impact my crew’s performance. I take pride in being a strong communicator and an organized leader, ensuring every call I make is clear, decisive, and motivating. My competitive nature drives me to constantly improve, always refining the small details that make my boat faster. Rowing has taught me discipline, resilience, and the power of teamwork, and I am eager to bring that same passion and commitment to the next level. I have made really good progress this winter and I am excited for my junior year spring racing season.
