Personal Statement

Crew to me a year ago was just a new sport to me and nothing more. Now, crew is a big part of my life. I always do my best to challenge myself and improve. Knowing now that crew will be a part of my college experience, I want to do everything I can to make sure that I get the most out of it and can challenge myself. I was given the "coaches award" my sophomore year for demonstrating dedication, skill, and leadership to the team. I was selected captain of the crew team as a sophomore after only my first year (second season) of doing crew. I will be captain for the rest of my time at Eagle Hill School (3 more seasons).

The very next year, I became the youngest president of the student council during my first sophomore year. During my second sophomore year I was a peer mentor where I would help my fellow students with their homework or any other academic help they needed. I help to run the school store once a week.
