Personal Statement
My name is Alexander Moore, I am a junior at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury Ma. I aspire to cox on the collegiate level where I can study my passion for Finance and Political Science, and how political policy impacts the financial markets. I hope to create a positive impact and help lead my boat at the highest possible level. In my 2022 fall season, I helped lead both boats I coxed in the 1v 4+ and the 2v 8+ to a gold and silver medal for each.

- I worked on learning how to row, as well as learned how to further my own education in the rowing stroke. I learned how to make better judgment calls, such as where to call drills better.

- My freshman year was in a freshman boat learning the basics and fundamentals of coxing. In my sophomore fall, I was placed in our 3v 8+ where we won the New Englan Junior regatta for the 3v 8+. In my sophomore spring, I was placed in our 4v 8+ and worked hard to improve. In my junior fall, I was placed in our 2v 8+ as well as our 1v 4+. In the George Dirth memorial regatta, I helped lead both boats to gold medals. In the New England Junior regatta, I helped lead both boats to silver medals in both events. I was selected to compete in the Head of the Charles in Boston to cox our men's U17 4+
