I am a determined and ambitious student athlete with a demonstrated track record of commitment and excellence in academics, rowing, and my community. In terms of competitive rowing, I have developed a passion and aptitude for the sport over the last two years. Having competed at a high level when I was younger in hockey and baseball, I can appreciate the unique connection that I feel with competitive rowing. I am dedicated to improving my individual performance as well as that of my team, and I am always self-motivated when it comes to improving, be it on the erg, in the gym, or on water. Aside from six club practices per week, I aim to get 3-4 additional erg/weights workouts in. Within my club, I have taken on leadership roles and pride myself as a being supportive and adaptable teammate (having trained in the UK, US and Canada), focused on continuously improving my own performance and that of the boat. I am excited to have been selected for the men's junior boat going to Head of the Charles this year, a coxed four.
Rowing has become an important part of my life, and is something I am committed to continuing in college.
