As a freshman at Jesuit College Preparatory School, I stumbled upon rowing and it ignited a passion within me. Watching the sport in the Olympics was one thing but realizing that it could be a part of my life in Dallas, TX was a game changer. Since then, I have been relentlessly dedicated to becoming the best rower I can be, with the ultimate goal of rowing at the collegiate level.
What I find most compelling about rowing is the commitment and character of the athletes it attracts. I have learned that this sport requires a team-first mentality, a strong work ethic and a high level of maturity. These values reflect my own personal beliefs and make rowing the perfect match for me.
I approach each practice with the purpose of mastering my technique and learning everything I can from the coaching staff and more experienced rowers. I am constantly motivated to improve in order to contribute to the success of the team.
I am eager to explore the various collegiate rowing programs and to learn more about the culture of each team as well as the coaching methods. I am confident that I can bring a lot to any team I join and look forward to contributing to its growth in every way I can. Thank you for your consideration.
