Personal Statement
My name is Braylon Pekara and throughout my life, soccer has been the driving force that has helped me strive to be better. It has taught me the importance of dedication, leadership, work-ethic, teamwork, and other positive traits. These characteristics have aided me in both athletics and in academics as I have a 4.63 GPA and take all honors classes. To go along with this, I have been successful in making ODP Arizona in my first year, along with making Varsity-swing as a freshman. I believe my ability to lead a team is one of my best qualities. I have been the main leader in all the teams I’ve been on, not stepping down or letting my team slip.
My main position on the field is center attacking midfield, but sometimes I can move up to the center forward spot. This means my attacking vision, through runs, and communication need to be the best on the pitch to succeed. I perform all these aspects of the game with high degree of precision so my team can excel. Overall, I believe that my willingness to lead and my effort on and off the field make me a great student-athlete.
