Luis Lopez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m Luis Martin Lopez, I’m 17 years old, I’m currently a senior, class of 2024. The school I’m currently attending is Loara High School in Anaheim. I’m currently playing for Nomads SC MLS Next U19 at San Diego, California. The positions I play are Left Wing (11), Right Wing (7), Left Back (3) and Right Back (2) and I’m both footed, but I'm more dominant with my left foot. I want to succeed in as many goals that I can achieve in the future like graduating from High School, but my main goal in the future is to play at a professional level like MLS, Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, but I want to start playing at a high professional level at D1 University and compete against one of the best Universities in the league, I’m always aiming at the highest goal. The reasons why I want to play at a D1 University are because it’s a good start to learn on how it is to play at a professional level and I always put my education first over everything because I also want to have a career outside of soccer as well. 

My strengths on the pitch are my speed and acceleration with the ball and without the ball, scanning around the field, short passes, long passes, holding and receiving the ball under pressure, finding the space behind the defenders, 1v1 defending, tracing back to defend, winning the ball back when losing the ball, running into space to receive the ball, 1v1, 1v2, communicating with my teammates crossing, corner kicks, free kicks, I’m both footed, but I’m more dominate on my left foot and finishing (scoring).

My biggest dream ever since I was 5 is to step on that beautiful, vibrate, perfect pitch. I want to compete against one of the most competitive, hungry, aggressive, desire, fierce, talented players/teams in the country and internationally. I want to perform in front of loud, alive, vibrant, excited, colorful fans and audiences. I want to return and embrace to everyone that has believed in me since day one and to show to everyone that they are going through tough times rather than in school, soccer, family, job, mental issues or anything that nothing is impossible if you put your dedication, effort, sacrifices and your heart into it. My family, my friends, my teammates, and everybody that I know and cares about me, motivates me to become the man that I am today and pushes me all the way past my limits.
