My name is Declan Rice, and I am a dedicated student-athlete currently attending Atascadero High School. With my graduation set for the year 2024, I am eagerly preparing myself for the next chapter of my life. As a passionate soccer player, I currently showcase my skills on the Santa Barbara Soccer Club 2005 boys' team. Additionally, I have had the privilege of playing three years of Varsity soccer at my high school, where I had the honor of captaining the team during my sophomore and junior years. This upcoming 2023/24 season I have accepted a roster spot on Santa Barbara Soccer Club MLS next u19 team.

My primary position is that of a right-footed outside back, a role that allows me to contribute both defensively and offensively. Not only am I committed to defending effectively, but I also possess the ability to support the team's attack and create scoring opportunities. Furthermore, I have gained valuable experience by occasionally playing in the midfield, showcasing my versatility and adaptability on the field.

I believe that success in both athletics and academics go hand in hand. Therefore, I strive for excellence not only in my performance on the field but also in the classroom. My diligent work ethic extends beyond the soccer field and manifests itself in my dedication to achieving academic success. Currently boasting a 4.1 weighted GPA, I have made it a priority to maintain a strong academic foundation while pursuing my athletic aspirations.
